GOODWOOD DAY 1 - MY CHOICES (NOT COMPETITION THREAD)

I know it's a bit early but might not have time to post them later today

2.10 - Changing The Guard
His form is nothing to write home about but his is slowly dropping down the handicap with a few poor efforts, i know it doesn't make a lot difference regarding weight compared to ratings but the lowest amount this horse has ever carried in a race was 8st 07lb, in this race he carries just 7st 13lb (8lb less than previous lowest) and the fact that Paul Hannigan has only once failed to grab a place on board once in 6 races makes me think he has a great ew chance despite the only unplaced effort being here

2.45 - Fencing Master
Has struggled to repeat his juvenile form so far this season, including a very poor effort last time out @ Naas, however the quick reappearance and the step up in trip can be fruitfull and a place at least looks on the cards.
The fast improving Arctic Cosmos may be the one to beat

3.20 - Forgotten Voice
Has put up some very good efforts in group company against top class opposition, his worst effort to date came over 10f which is too far, interestingly he reverts back to 7f for the first time since his racecourse debut as a 2yo

4.00 - Lord Of The Stars
Ran really well last time out to finish 2nd, the drop back to 5f might bring enough improvement to grab at least a place, His trainer has had 8 winners and 8 runners up in last 14 days from only 29 runners so the stable are in fine form.

4.35 - Bencoolen
Won at the meeting last year off a mark of 89, running today off 90 (93 at start of season), has had 9 runs over a mile and has finished in the money 5 times, Jockey/Trainer combo have 15 wins/places from 43 runs this season

5.05 - Welsh Dancer
Ran really well on his debut, only beaten just over a length (finished 4th) over 5f @ Ascot, staying on at the finish suggesting he would improve for the step up in trip next time out, unfortunately his jockey made the mistake of taking him down the wrong side of the track, he was also heavily backed from 11/4 into 15/8, compensation could await

5.40 - Montaff
Has ran well in much better races than this before, including this season when finishing 2nd @ Nottingham over this distance, should run a big race but might be beaten by less exposed horses conceding a lot of weight
