Should there be Trainer Maximum entries in races?

Post by Dessie89 on Thu Jul 15, 2010 6:23 pm

Some races are getting spoiled with the amount of runners a trainer has in a race.

Aiden O'Brien often runs 4/5 in group 1 races, Dandy Nicholls often has 5/6 in handicaps.

Saturday's Weatherbys Super Sprint @ Newbury has 25 declared runners, yet Richard Hannon accounts for 6 of them.

Do you trainers should have a maximum amount of set runners or do you think they should be entitled to enter how many they want, even if it spoils the race for betting purposes?

I do, some races are spoiled, like you say, unfortunately by the amount of entries a trainer has in a certain race. Point well made, Dessie.
